A LA experience, where else would you end up in a beautiful 'loft' totally open to the elements overlooking the Chateau Marmont painting your own artwork with a talented Artist? Firstly, painting with Parvez took place in his home, studio which was one of the most amazing homes I have ever been to. In lieu of a tv, Parvez had no front walls and literally you could reach out and touch the trees (which were strewn with some amazing artwork pieces). No lights, it took us around 5 minnutes to light every candle we could find, possibly into the hundreds and lit up all the light boxes, put on some tunes. Parvez has a completely fabulous outlook on life and loved hearing how we loved our jobs, I mean, how could he not love his too!
Parvez ended up supplying us with canvases, paints and implements to 'create' our art. We took this very seriously as you can see from the attached (I still have to go back and pour my blue wash over mine- it was very important I do this at the time!)
I came away from this experience with some beautiful hand signed pieces of Parvez's art, which I will always treasure, but more so than that, I came away with one of my most memorable nights in LA ever! Having found another kindred spirit!!!!
